We’re immediately into the next round of Premier League fixtures, without so much as a moment to breathe. The drama keeps unfolding and every club is fighting for something. The top three remain unchanged for now. Arsenal lead the way, but Manchester City are lurking ever closer. Manchester United further back in third still. At the bottom things have changed as we have a new member. Wolves and Burnley are there as usual, but Tottenham have joined them now, replacing West Ham.

This game week will see fixtures from Tuesday all the way through to Monday next week. First up is a single Tuesday fixture between Brighton and Chelsea, kick off at 8pm (GMT). On Wednesday we have two games, Bournemouth hosting Leeds and Burnley welcoming Manchester City. Both will kick off at 8pm. Then on Friday we have another 8pm fixture with Sunderland up against Nottingham Forest. That will guide us into our biggest day of fixtures, Saturday. Aston Villa will travel to Fulham for a 12:30pm kick off. There’ll be three matches at 3pm. Liverpool will face Crystal Palace, West Ham will host Everton while Wolves will take on Spurs. At 5:30pm will be Arsenal vs Newcastle. To complete GW34 will be a Monday night fixture between Manchester United and Brentford, kick off at 8pm.

Brighton vs Chelsea

The Seagulls have embarked on an excellent stretch of results of late. The draw against Spurs last time out means they’re unbeaten in their last four fixtures, winning three in a row prior to the game at the weekend. This has seen them shoot up the table, settling in 9th. Considering they were down in 15th a couple of months ago, the transformation has been sensational. They’ve protected their brilliant home form as well, losing just three times at the AMEX Stadium. What’s even more poignant, is that a win here will see them jump above Chelsea and land in 6th.

At the other end of the form table we have Chelsea. They’re in the midst of a four game losing streak which has seriously dented their hopes of Champions League football. Liverpool are now seven points ahead and don’t look like they’ll be slipping up anytime soon. Liam Rosenior has taken the weight of this disastrous form on his shoulders, but it’s a mixture of him and the players. The 7-0 win over Port Vale is the only one since March 7th when they beat Wrexham. Since then they’ve lost to PSG twice, Newcastle, Everton, Manchester City and now Manchester United. With injuries piling up, a team all the way down in 11th could leapfrog them. It shows how tight the table is, but also how far Chelsea have fallen.

I genuinely can’t see Chelsea turning things around here. Brighton are excellent at home and have a real shot of claiming European football next season.

Predicted Result: Brighton 2-1 Chelsea

Bournemouth vs Leeds

Andoni Iraola will leave the club at the end of the season, but he’s positioning the team so well for Marco Rose, who will takeover in the summer. They remain unbeaten since January 7th and are now on a two game winning streak. Those two wins have come at the Emirates and St James Park, two stadiums that you don’t often see opposition win at. Whatever happened in January to this group of players has taken their season to incredible new heights. They sit 8th in the table, level on points with Brentford and Chelsea. They’ve accomplished all this while scoring 50 goals, which is more than 14 teams in the division.

While I sing the praises of Bournemouth, Leeds have also been quietly impressive of late. They’re also on a two game winning run, having beaten Wolves and Manchester United. They’re actually unbeaten in their last four league games. It’s pretty much confirmed survival for Daniel Farke and they’ll be delighted with that. Of course they’re not yet mathematically safe, but they have a big cushion of eight points, nine in order to drop into the relegation zone. The only concern will be form away from home. It’s the third worst in the division, winning just twice. It’s level with Burnley.

With that final statistic in mind, I’m going for a Bournemouth win here.

Predicted Result: Bournemouth 2-0 Leeds

Burnley vs Manchester City

Any fight that Burnley had left for survival has likely dissipated. Scott Parker will almost certainly be facing Championship football next season, should he remain at the club. But, they’re in a unique position. They’re one of only two sides who will face both of the title chasing teams, so they have the opportunity to potentially change the script. The likelihood is that both sides will blow Burnley away, but nothing in this league is certain. Parker’s men have just one win since November 1st 2025.

It’s advantage City in the psychological battle for the title. If they do beat Burnley here then they can temporarily go top, before Arsenal face Newcastle on Saturday. It was a big win for Pep Guardiola’s side and that means they’re on a four game winning streak, scoring 11 and conceding just once. It’s almost perfect form for a team battling for the title. There is the slight hesitation that this isn’t the same calibre of team that City once had, but they’re still phenomenal and will likely win the remaining fixtures. Away form has been City’s achilles heel and the only points Pep’s men have dropped recently have come against teams battling relegation.

I’m almost certain that this will end in City triumphant, but it would add a unique twist if they fail to win here.

Predicted Result: Burnley 0-3 City

Sunderland vs Nottingham Forest

Sunderland engaged in one of the games of the season at the weekend. For a side that don’t tend to score too many goals in one fixture, scoring three still wasn’t enough for a point against Villa. 4-3 they lost, killed off in the last minute. But, Regis Le Bris will only see encouragement. To go to a ground that has seen Arsenal and Manchester City score just one goal between them, they’ll come away feeling energised. They sit 11th, but a win here could see them move above Chelsea, as they’re only two points adrift. They have still conceded the least amount of goals in the bottom 10, even after shipping four.

Nottingham Forest had a four in their score line at the weekend, thankfully it was a 4-1 win over Wolves. This means they’re now unbeaten in their last five league games and even without defeat in their last seven matches, in all competitions. They’re certainly not clear of the relegation battle, but once again, it’s a cushion. They’re five points ahead of Spurs and three ahead of West Ham. Vitor Pereira will take points from anywhere, but grabbing all three here will be another giant step towards safety. For a team battling relegation, Forest do have a decent away record, picking up points in eight of the 16 away ties they’ve had.

That discipline away from home will be important for their survival and it’ll help them here, I’m going for a draw.

Predicted Result: Sunderland 1-1 Forest

Fulham vs Aston Villa

Fulham just haven’t been able to maintain a level of consistency that the football they play deserves. Whenever they threaten to turn a corner, they end up dropping points for a few weeks. The best form they had was during the Christmas period and early January and that’s the reason why they’re not mingling further down with Leeds and Nottingham Forest. Their last five fixtures read L,D,W,L,D. You can say they’ve picked up points in three of their last five games, or that they’ve only won once. Pick your fighter. For me, if they’re serious about grabbing a European spot then they need to look at the fact they’ve only won once. That should fuel some fire to improve.

Villa have dipped in 2026, but it was inevitable. The xG demon came to collect and Villa became a victim of it. However, they’re finding form again at the right time. Unbeaten in their last three league fixtures, six if you count all competitions. The 4-3 win over Sunderland proves that they’re going to fight for Champions League football, even though it looks pretty certain they’ll claim it. They’re 10 points ahead of Chelsea, who will need a miracle to catch Unai Emery’s side. The next objective will be to pip Manchester United into third.

While Villa have improved, this will be the kind of fixture they struggle in. Fulham are good at home and will have more desire to win than Villa, who have all but confirmed Champions League football next season.

Predicted Result: Fulham 1-0 Villa

Liverpool vs Palace

Arne Slot is maintaining just enough form to see the club ensures Champions League football for next season. Luckily it’s been extended to incorporate the top five, as the Merseyside club sit 5th. They needed a Virgil Van Dijk winner in the 100th minute of the game to beat Everton at the weekend. It was an extremely important goal for a few reasons. A win over their rivals, extension on the gap between them and Chelsea and it also keeps them within touching distance of Villa and United. Even though they’re safely in the zone for Champions League football, they’ll want to finish higher than fifth.

Palace are positioning themselves to make a genuine assault on the European spots. While they do have a distraction, in the shape of the Conference League, form has dramatically improved in the league. The 0-0 draw with West Ham is an okay result, but it does mean they’re now unbeaten in four league games. They sit 13th in the table and are just five points behind Brentford, Chelsea and Bournemouth. Luckily, Palace have two routes to European football next season. Win the Conference League or finish top 7. The former actually feels more realistic and will be much more enjoyable for the fan base, but you’d always want to cover all bases. Palace do also have the 7th best away form in the league, winning seven of their 15 fixtures outside of Selhurst Park. Only Arsenal and City have won more.

As much as I think Palace have improved, I do think Liverpool will overpower them in this one.

Predicted Result: Liverpool 2-0 Palace

West Ham vs Everton

After picking up a decent point against Crystal Palace on Monday night, they’ll be looking to go one better when they face Everton. They’ve just about kept themselves out of Tottenham’s clutches, but it won’t be for much longer if they don’t pick up more wins. They currently sit two points ahead of their London rivals. With Forest and Leeds pulling away, it seems like it’ll be a straight shootout between Spurs and West Ham. For the Hammers, they’ve lost just once in their last five league fixtures. That includes a 1-1 draw against Manchester City. Nuno Espirito Santo will be happy that his side are finding ways to pick up points, but the all important three need to come thick and fast.

Everton will be left bemused as to how they let a point slip away against their Merseyside rivals, Liverpool. 100 minutes on the clock, Van Dijk crashed a header beyond Jordan Pickford. Heartbreak for Everton, but they can’t let that get their heads down. They’ve had a fantastic season and are just a few positive results away from European football next season. They’re in ever so slightly worse form than their opponents here, having now lost twice in their last five fixtures. But, they still remain just a point behind Brentford, Bournemouth and Chelsea. The Toffee’s also have the fifth best away record in the league, having lost just five outside of the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Only the Manchester clubs and Arsenal have lost fewer.

It’ll be a tough game from both perspective’s as they both have an enormous amount on the line. With that in mind, I can see a draw playing out.

Predicted Result: West Ham 0-0 Everton

Wolves vs Spurs

Wolves have officially been relegated from the Premier League and it’s a great shame. After getting promoted in 2018, they initially had success. They finished 7th two seasons in a row, gaining Europa League football after their first campaign. From that moment to now, this feels monumental for the Premier League. After poor recruitment in the summer, it was too little too late. However, they still have five matches to play and they have the ability to affect other teams and their seasons. After initially showing good fight in 2026, to try and survive, the two most recent defeats in a row confirmed what we’ve known for most of the season.

Another side that could face the drop is Spurs. Something no one expected at the start. Three managers later and they’re actually in the zone. They sit 18th and two points behind West Ham. This means they can only win from now on, something they haven’t done at all in 2026. Even Wolves have won a few this year. Roberto De Zerbi hasn’t been able to turn in a win yet, after two attempts. The draw against Brighton felt like the closest they’ve come, but the Seagulls swooped in to steal a point late on. Despite the poor results, they still aren’t bad away from home. The North London side have picked up points in 10 of the 16 away games.

Wolves have nothing to fight for now except pride. Which is exactly what Spurs are playing for as well, just mixed in with saving themselves from relegation. They have to win at some point, surely?

Predicted Result: Wolves 0-2 Spurs

Arsenal vs Newcastle

The Gunners will be bitterly disappointed they’ve let the title race blow wide open. Defeats to Bournemouth and City have gifted the latter a real shot at the title. When you’re facing Pep Guardiola in a title race, you never give them a way back in otherwise they’ll take it. Fate rests in both Arsenal and City’s hands. If both win all their remaining fixtures then it’ll go down to goal difference. The Gunners have just one win in their last seven matches, in all competitions. Mikel Arteta needs to regroup and go again.

Newcastle are having their worst season under Eddie Howe. Despite a good Champions League campaign, they were eventually dumped out of the competition by Barcelona. The league has been less than forgiving as they sit 14th now. They’re not out of the running for European football next season, but it’s going to be difficult. With five games to go, they’re six points behind the sides that sit in the European spots. As I say, it’s not impossible, but it’s going to be difficult. But, they’re currently on a streak of three defeats in the league. That is something that needs to stop now.

Arsenal will have to turn a corner and I think that’ll start here. They have a week off and the players need that. It’s all about winning now, and scoring as many goals as they can.

Predicted Result: Arsenal 2-0 Newcastle

Manchester United vs Brentford

United had a minor blip against Leeds and Bournemouth, but immediately recovered with a win over Chelsea. It keeps them third and they’re able to tighten their grip on Champions League football. It’s extremely unlikely they’ll fall out of the top five now, but another win will pretty much guarantee Champions League for next season. Michael Carrick has done a wonderful job since arriving, the defeat to Leeds being only the second time he’s lost. That’s 12 games and just two defeats, what’s more impressive is that they’ve won eight. In addition to this, they’ve only lost three times at Old Trafford.

The team looking to make it four defeats at Old Trafford is Brentford. Keith Andrews needs to start converting draws into wins as they’re on a five game stretch. That run of games includes three 0-0’s. Brentford’s early to mid season form is keeping their head above the rest at the moment, but a number of teams have caught up. Everton, Bournemouth, Brighton and Sunderland can all jump ahead if they win their respective fixtures. Despite the draws, it does mean that they haven’t lost away from home since January 17th. That’s five league games without defeat now.

Despite Brentford proving hard to beat, United often find a way. I think that’ll be the case here.

Predicted Result: United 3-2 Brentford
