Due to the midweek fixture list, I’ve decided to split the predictions into two parts. Part 1 will include Tuesday’s fixtures and then part 2 will include Wednesday and Thursday’s fixtures.

With that being said, Tuesday kicks off at 7:30PM (GMT) with two fixtures. Bournemouth will host Everton and Fulham will welcome Manchester City. To end the evening will be a 8:15PM kick off that will see Tottenham Hotspur travel to Newcastle.

Bournemouth vs Everton

Both of these sides had a disappointing weekend in terms of results. Bournemouth faced a resolute Sunderland who edged a 3-2 thriller. This will be concerning for Andoni Iraola as it now means that The Cherries have lost three out of their last four games, even the other result was a draw. They now find themselves in the bottom half of the table, sitting at 11th. What will be of some comfort is that they’re welcoming a team, to The Vitality Stadium, that are below them in the league. Everton were crushed 4-1 at the hands of Newcastle on the Saturday just gone. They remain in 14th, but it means they missed the chance break into the top 10.

A win today can still give Everton that lift, but Bournemouth will be looking to do the same as they were in 2nd a few weeks ago. Everton will have to compete with the fact that they travel to a stadium that hasn’t seen the home side lose yet, which makes this a much more daunting task. Bournemouth have four wins and two draws while on home turf, having only conceded four goals in the process. Everton have been okay away from home, but will need to be much more than ‘okay’ to get anything from Bournemouth. I do believe we’ll see Bournemouth throw some much needed points on the board. A win can take them level on points with 5th and 6th in the table.

Predicted Result: Bournemouth 3-1 Everton

Fulham vs Manchester City

As oppose to the game above, both of these sides found success at the weekend. Fulham managed to pour more misery on to Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-1 victory. Manchester City survived a late onslaught from Leeds United by grabbing a 90th minute winner, despite giving up a 2-0 lead. That could be enough to give Fulham a little confidence boost in their search for points, however, they’ll have to contend with the fact that they’ve lost the last 18 meetings with City. Everything must come to an end eventually though and Marco Silva will be determined to make that so.

Pep Guardiola and his side have dwindled in form since returning from the international break. Having lost to Newcastle United on the first game back, then suffering defeat against Bayer Leverkusen in the week and then needing a last gasp winner to overcome Leeds. It’s not vintage City and Pep will be well aware. However, with the chance to close the gap to Arsenal to just two points, the Manchester side will be on top of their game. As much as we saw Fulham frustrate Spurs, City are a completely different beast and will certainly give them more problems to deal with.

Predicted Result: Fulham 1-3 Manchester City

Newcastle vs Tottenham Hotspur

Newcastle absolutely blitzed Everton at the weekend and that has rather elevated the mood around the club. The domestic form had been a concern for Eddie Howe prior to the international break, but since returning, they’ve won two on the bounce. One of which was Manchester City. The fact that they were able to put four past Everton will do wonders for the morale of the attackers as they were sitting on just 13 league goals, before Everton. Nick Woltemade probably felt like a one man army, but his colleagues have now arrived on the scene are knocking in goals of their own.

Spurs have had a miserable week and find themselves far removed from the top four spots they were in before the break. Three defeats in a row to Arsenal, PSG and Fulham have put the club on the brink of chaos. Thomas Frank is under a huge amount of pressure right now and this is perhaps the worst game to come next. The North London side haven’t beaten Newcastle since 2023 and haven’t won at St James Park since 2021. This presents a massive opportunity to actually make a statement win, but Spurs have already lost to Newcastle this season, which was at St James Park. With morale at the bottom of the barrel, Spurs need something from this, but I just can’t see it happening.

Predicted Result: Newcastle 2-0 Spurs
